ADRA Looking Forward to
2012 Season!
Apple Grove, WV. ~ January 7, 2012- The American
Dirt Racing Association
(ADRA) presented by Suddenlink Communications
(www.suddenlink.com)
is anxiously anticipating the 2012 racing
season. 2011 proved to be quite
successful in spite of a late inauguration,
inclimate weather, and an economy
which continues to struggle. The ADRA overcame
these challenges drawing
healthy fields of cars boasting an impressive
first year average car count of 25
which consequently gave rise to record crowds.
The ADRA held true to our goal
of
showcasing our region’s very best racing talent
by way of relentless
promotion and top shelf dirt racing action. We
accomplished this while staying
within a manageable budget grounded on keeping
travel to a minimum and
implementing cost effective rules which remain
all-inclusive.
“Our region is teeming with great racing talent
and there is absolutely no
shortage of folks who want to enjoy top notch
racing,” explained Series Event
Coordinator Rocky Estep. “However, we must
improve in the areas of effective
promotion and unified organization. We have too
many really good folks going
too many different directions. The ADRA is
designed to work with these folks
as
one and present the best motorsports
entertainment possible to our regions
fans.”
Every track in the region, (the country for that
matter), wants to provide just
that to their fans. All of them host special
events and spend countless hours
working diligently while spending massive
amounts of money to make this
happen. All the components are here but we could
be using them much more
judiciously. The ADRA’s goal is to work with all
our tracks, series, and drivers to
schedule well promoted special events, ran in a
professional manner, while
treating our fans to unsurpassed value for their
entertainment dollar. We will
accomplish this by coordinating events between
tracks and series in the region
to
provide fans with an unprecedented plethora of
dirt racing action for 2012.
By doing these things we subsequently establish
an attractive platform of
unparalleled exposure for sponsors who may be
considering motorsports as a
means of advertisement.
Another important part
of the ADRA’s mission is to make the good news
of the
gospel of Jesus Christ
available to all we come in contact with. We do
this
through the Racers In
Christ Ministry (RIC). RIC racing evangelists,
Tony and
Jesse Dillow distribute
free Bibles and provide spiritual inspiration to
all those
in need. The RIC has a
booth set up at all ADRA events. For more
information
check out;
www.racersinchrist.com.
The ADRA would like to
invite all tracks, series, drivers, fans, and
sponsors to
join us in this effort.
The ADRA will be greeting the 2012 season at the
Dave’s
Gone Crazy Sell and
Auction at Poske’s Performance Parts (www.poske.com)
in
Parkersburg, WV. The
2012 DGCS will be held January 12 through
January 21 2012
. The ADRA will be on
location Saturday January 21st.
Until then have a Happy New Year. Check out the
ADRA sponsors and remember
by working together;
“WE MAKE DIRT FLY!”

Congratulations to the
"Salt Rock Express" Eddie Carrier Jr. winner of
the ADRA
Model Fallfest 40
at Moler Raceway Park and the 1st ADRA DIRT LATE
MODEL
SEASON CHAMPIONSHIP!!!
Eddie won 3 out 4 events and has accumulated
$10,700 in ADRA
championship event prize money provided by ADRA
member
tracks MRP, SOS,
and L7S!!! Full story coming soon!!!!!

Apple Grove, WV (October
7, 2011) - The regular racing season ended with
a
bang at Moler Raceway
Park with a second visit by the ADRA Late Model
Series
presented by
Suddenlink (www.suddenlink.com) and
lots of extra money on
the line in all four
classes. In the Late Models, It was the Salt
Rock Express,
Eddie Carrier Jr.,
turning the fastest lap in qualifications with a
12.418 to just
edge Chad Stapleton for
top honors. In heat race action it was Carrier
taking
heat race number
one while Stapleton would claim the victory in
heat two.
In heat three things got
interesting as “Wildthang” Greg Johnson was
leading
but contact with “Hot”
Rod Conley would cut his Johnson’s tire and
eliminate
him from the race while
Conley would have to restart from the tail. On
the
ensuing restart Barry
Doss would go on to claim the checkers. Carrier
would
start 3rd in the feature
after the ADRA's heat race winner redraw so it
was Doss
out front at the drop of
the green but Stapleton would battle by to take
top
honors on lap 4. By lap
10 it was the Grover Motorsports entry of
Carrier out
front and setting sail.
The racing was tight behind him though as
Stapleton,
Doss, Conley, and Jason
Jamison would battle furiously on the ¼ mile
bullring.
By the midpoint Conley
had worked his way up to second from his sixth
starting
spot but to no
avail as ADRA season long Champion Eddie
Carrier, Jr., would not
be denied a trip
to victory lane at Moler Raceway Park. Rod
Conley would come
home second with
Doss taking third while Tim Prince and Jameson
rounded out
the top five
positions. "The Boss, Barry Doss, claiming
another Track
Championship in the
Sunesis Construction Late Models.
